Introducing the Barracuda: A Triple-Barrel Pump Action Gel Blaster

Gel Blaster has once again thrilled its fans with the introduction of its newest addition – the BARRACUDA. This announcement comes hot on the heels of the successful launch of the Piranha, a highly ergonomic gel gun celebrated for its superb performance and water-resistant design. Despite the close timing of these releases, the Barracuda stands out as a unique offering in their lineup.

What sets this latest blaster apart is its PUMP-ACTION mechanism, a departure from the typical battery-operated gel bead guns. This design allows it to shoot 6 gellets per shot, bringing to mind the iconic pump-action shotguns seen in movies and video games. Expected to cost approximately $40, Gel Blaster Barracuda is sure to ignite excitement among toy gun enthusiasts.

Sneak Peek: What Makes Gel Blaster Barracuda Special?

The Barracuda is a far cry from your typical electronic gel blaster gun, despite using the same gel beads. Its standout feature? It’s not electronic, meaning NO BATTERIES ARE REQUIRED. Say goodbye to worrying about your blaster running out of juice or having an electrical malfunction, especially handy for wet pool parties.

Even as a manually operated pump-action gel blaster, the Barracuda delivers a high muzzle velocity of 160 FPS. This makes it safe for young children yet still exciting enough for a good time. While it may not match the power of the Surge XL, 160 FPS is more than sufficient for close-quarters team games, which is precisely what it is designed for.

The SHOTGUN-style design of the Gel Blaster Barracuda isn’t just for looks – it’s functional too. While it may lack range, this 3-barrel Orbeez gun makes up for it by firing 6 gellets every time you pull the trigger. With two beads per barrel, hitting your target at close range becomes almost effortless.

Despite its compact size, its low-profile hopper can hold up to 600 gel balls, offering about 100 blasts per reload. I find this particularly IMPRESSIVE when compared to the Nerf Pro Gelfire X MrBeast, which features a similar hopper design but with half the ammo capacity. Additionally, its hopper design also aids in aiming, making your shots more accurate.

Before the Barracuda, the brand had a diverse lineup, including the Surge Gen 3, Surge XL, Starfire, Starfire XL, day and night, David Dobrik edition, and Piranha blasters. Among these, my personal favorites are the XL versions of the Surge and Starfire, which I consider to be some of the best gel blasters available. However, this new gem also looks VERY PROMISING even before release.

Mark Your Calendar: Launch Date For The New Blaster

On March 3, 2024, Gel Blaster gave fans a first look at their new product with breaking news, the Barracuda, on their Facebook and LinkedIn pages. The 31-second video highlighted the key features that set this product apart in their lineup.

The following day, the brand released another 50-second video on YouTube featuring a lady explaining the new product while giving a glimpse of players using the gel ball gun. This video provided a real game-like experience, showcasing how players held, fired, and moved with the gun.

Finally, Gel Blaster scheduled the launch date of the Barracuda on March 7, 2024, with a premiere video on YouTube. I’m so excited for this event, aren’t you?!

First Impression: What Sets The Barracuda Gel Blaster Apart?

Gel blaster enthusiasts looking to expand their arsenal will find the Barracuda a compelling addition. As the latest offering from a leading brand, it not only signifies INNOVATION but also promises a unique gaming experience. If you’re tired of the same old blasters, it is a breath of fresh air.

Even for newcomers, it presents an attractive option. However, its suitability depends on your play style and preferences. If you enjoy the shotgun style of playing video games, it will be particularly appealing.

The Barracuda gel blaster gun stands out for its battery-free operation and distinctive design. However, its pump action requires more effort than an electric blaster, leading to a slower firing rate, even in semi-automatic mode. But the power delivered per shot is HUGE with 6 gellets- nothing like before!

Given Gel Blaster’s track record of successful products, there’s every reason to believe that the Barracuda will continue this LEGACY. Designed to offer hours of fun, it’s poised to be a hit among recreational gamers seeking something new and exciting.
